Synopsis
From the creators of Garfeld: The Musical (A Garfield Parody) comes McMusical, an unhinged, R-rated musical satire of fast food, corporate America, nostalgia, and the increasingly complicated business of being a clown.
Randy McDandy, the washed-up mascot of the once-beloved fast-food empire McDandys, takes over a struggling restaurant in the perilous streets of Slumsville. But the McDandys he remembers—colorful, ridiculous, and full of joy—has been transformed into a cold corporate shell. Determined to bring the magic back, Randy sets out to restore the restaurant to its former glory, putting him at odds with cynical corporate overlords, a world that no longer trusts clowns, and the villainous Robber-Burger and his sidekick, Dandy Boy.
Along the way, Randy encounters an increasingly absurd collection of mascots, employees, executives, teenagers, criminals, and fast-food eccentrics. Beneath its outrageous humor, McMusical is ultimately a story about nostalgia, corporate homogenization, and what happens when the thing you love grows into something you no longer recognize.
Packed with original music, absurdist comedy, biting satire, and an unexpected amount of heart, McMusical asks whether there is still room for sincerity in a world where everything—including joy—has become a brand.

Development
In September 2026, McMusical mounted its first full developmental run at Theater for the New City in New York City. The four-performance run brought the musical to life with a 14-person cast and 10-person creative and production team, giving the writers the opportunity to see the show fully realized in front of an audience for the first time.
The production served as both a developmental step for the musical and a launchpad for its future. Beyond testing and refining the material, the run was designed to introduce McMusical to audiences and industry professionals, build momentum around the project, and begin assembling a larger McProducing Team to help shepherd the show into its next stage of development—with the ultimate goal of a future Off-Broadway production.
